I love people who still dont give App. credit. What more can ya do? 3 national championships and beating michigan last season. But wait...since the national championships are DIAA they dont mean crap right? :shaking:

As valid as this argument is considering you have a big L sitting on your schedules sitting next to your only real scheduled opponent and another next to James Madison I'm gonna have to argue this. First off this year is not the best year of ECU football. I think if we didn't lose our best db, best rb, best wr, and 2nd best rb we might have had the possibility. As for state its kind of hard to talk shit about that when app is choking it up to james madison now isn't it? I'm pretty sure if we had that creampuff schedule you guys have we would at worst go 1 loss. No one gives you respect b/c you play crap teams. This is a good starting point and I applaud you guys but don't start talking smack for one good win against an at the time terrible michigan team. It was a trap game for michigan just like it is us.
 
Either way you argue it doesn't matter. ECU will tear up App.

Well, they aren't ranked, so we might loose to them. We tend to only win against ranked teams...

Why even worry... ECU can't keep their team out of Jail to start with...

Creampuff schedule...App #2 (3x National Champion), Elon #3, Wofford#4, Furman#18,Georgia Southern (7 time National Champion and reciever of all the amazing athletes that couldn't get into Georgia or GT) was number 22 last week until we beat them in a close game...on the road...in possibly one of the most hostile environments around. So what if ASU lost to James Madison, we choked, anyone that watched that game will agree...Now as for ECU, going into Raliegh with a full head of steam and cockier than ever, yall self destructed since then. App loses one game this season to a very good JMU program that is in title contention every year and is still going strong with the youngest team we have had since the start of the 3x title run. Those that like to sling :poop: about how D1AA isn't real football hasn't been to a Southern Conference matchup. I have been to games in the Swamp, UT and between the hedges and none of them compare to packing 33k people into an 18k person stadium on any given weekend in Boone. ECU may know how to tailgate but ASU knows how to play football.

You are aware that Houston averages almost 550yds of offense a game and has one of the most potent offenses in the country right? Also aware they are undefeated in conference play? How about Virginia? 3 game winning streak. Beat ranked UNC last week and popped maryland leaving the terps a big fat donut on the board. I wouldn't exactly say they suck and quite frankly I think you are just talking out your arse. UVA would wax app
 
No one is going to convince the other of who is better and who is going to win. Sept 05, 2009 will decide. And as an ASU fan, I don't care that we beat Michigan, sure it gave us a lot of press, but in actuality, winning 3 back to back to back national championships is what I am most proud of. Any team can get lucky once, but what shows true talent and coaching is repeat success. If ECU beats us next year we will say they got lucky, if we beat ECU they will say we got lucky, but no one can call three national championships in a row luck, no one. And for the record the series b/w ASU and ECU is 19-10 ASU.
 
wow, never expected this amount of crap talk about this game...

and again, its pretty obvious people underestimate ASU because of the three FCS trophies rather than BCS anything.

FYI...ECU isnt undefeated in conference play...they lost to the UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON (who ever the hell THAT is...)

Conference USA isnt nearly as competitive as SEC or Big 10....so I think we can easily keep up...

One other thing....since you guys are all high and mighty BCS and know very little about the FCS...Id like to point out that the SOCON (ASU's conference) is EASILY the FCS equivalent to the SEC...

Just a few points...I dont feel like getting in a shit throwing contest here.
