Im scheduled to take this tomorrow, sorta nervous, I just hope I can pass it, 200 questions, 3 hours, no calculators.... jesus! I cant live without one if Im doing math lol.

I just hope i can get through this and pass it, Im determined and motivated Im going to pass, if not, NEXT month! but there wont be a next month!, its going to be tomorrow!.

Anyone else here serving? Im going marines

I'll be taking mine next month for USCG.

good luck.

did you take the SAT? If you scored high enough on that you don't need to take ASVAB's

When I was either a junior or senior in high school they offered to let us take the test. Military recruiters came to our high school to administer the test. I figured what the heck, and signed up, but it wasn't for a couple of months. Well, the day arrives, and I had forgotten about it and gotten heavily polluted before school that day, then they start calling us to the cafeteria during home room to come take the test, LOL.

Took it in 2006 when I joined the Army. Don't sweat it. The math stuff is not hard, you get scratch paper if you need it, and alot of it is conceptual stuff anyway. Pretty easy. When my grades came back they told me I could have any job I wanted. Good luck.

Yeah its pretty easy. Just take your time. I'm a dumb*** and still qualified for any job in the USMC.

still qualified for any job in the USMC.

Double Ditto! My USMC recruiter (Vietnam vet) summed it up best... "If you can't pass this test, there's always a shitter to scrub somewhere"

He failed to mention I'd be doing just that for my entire enlistment! :flipoff2:

don't stress about it. its EASY.
The only part i dont like is math, because i hate all math, but the test is still a cake-walk.

I figured it was fairly easy. I've taken quite a few post graduate tests and done fairly well without studying, so I haven't been loosing any sleep on it.

I didn't think it was hard at all and I was never a great student.... But hell that was in 1977......:shaking: Qualified for the Navys Nuke school but damn sure did want any long schools... so I ended up 1 year in electronics school...lol

The SAT was by far more stressfull, don't sweat it. My SAT was 1200 my jr. yr. (92-93) and the other score was high enough every branch out their wanted to talk. I then found out I wasn't fit in their eyes to do the job, I was completely bummed and didn't understand since I played sports all through H.S.

I finished it in less than an hour, and I am not a great test taker. Last one into the room, first one out, and got a high enough score that the recruiter said I could do any job I wanted. Don't worry, you will do fine.
