Looking for suggestions / recommendations within the Raleigh area for a local quality car Audio shop, specifically to build a box enclosure.
Looking at simply adding a 10" into an XJ.

Would love to have similar design as the JL Stealthbox.

Thank ya!

You'll save alot more by just buying a prefab box. checked ebay? Seems to be a popular place for the "little guy" who makes custom-fit boxes..

I checked around extensively, but not eBay, for some pre-fab boxes and to be honest, I haven't been able to find much.
I'll do another search...

I was hoping to find something local. I would like to keep it to the similar design as stated, I do not want a box taking up rear cargo space.

....flea market.... Raleigh has em, go find

OH and PLEASE stay out of the flea markets!

Finding a XJ specific sub box at a Flea Market?? I'm gonna say, pretty doubtful no?

True, but its a good place to get subs for cheap. Unless you want to pay alot of money. Plus, there are plenty of spics there who are good at building boxes... esse!

Thanks bud and yes, staying away from the Fleas

Just spoke with Dave. Very nice guy and is familiar with this "stealth box" setup in the Cherokee. Heading over there today so he can get an idea of what to work with...

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

Ha ha.. guess im the only one who likes the flea markets.. Youd be jealous of my system.

Nah, I just like to support guys who are in my industry. Most of the flea market guys are shit heads i would love to smack in the mouth, they wouldnt know the difference between a 4 ohm sub and pile of shit!

Cool, I hope it works out for you!

From what I've seen at the flea markets, I don't know the difference either..

You are exactly right!!!

On another note, are you still looking for a tonn. cover for your truck? I have a rollnlock for a 6' GM trk im willing to part with!

Went to Dave's place and damn nice guy. A little more than what I wanted to spend to be honest, well not for the box for just for everything. Sub, amp, and all that...

I'm more than likely going to go forward with it though...

Hope you like these:

'cause one of these days, you're gonna need them. I used to think I wouldn't:( Got my first set at 35, and use to have the motto "If its tool loud, you're too old", well, that came to bite me in the ass,.....enjoy;)

Haha. I'm not laughing at you, put just your post. I've actually never had that motto... I'm simply adding a sub for a lil more depth, not knock your socks off bass.
If I wanted to do that, I would stay away from the "stealthbox" and go with a big ole box and fill it with subs...

Haha, thanks but I'm actually pretty set with my ears.

Well the XJ is at the shop getting worked on as I type. Dropped it off this morning... looking forward to the ride into the office tomorrow morning!

Thanks again for the suggestion, Dave is a very nice guy to work with.

Sounds good, did you go with JL Audio?

I did. I'll attach a few photos of the completed project. I already had JL Audio components in the door and simple replacement in the rear.
I added the AMP and 10" Sub.

And one of the Jeep. I removed the lame plastic side moldings. Looks great IMO.
