Auto Meter Speedometer

I have replaced all of the gauges in my Jeep with Auto Meter Phantom gauges except for the Tach and the Speedometer. Quadratec now has the gauge pod that is a direct replacement for the YJ. The Tach I am not worried about but the Speedometer seems to be the tricky part. I know I need an electrical speedometer but getting that hooked up seems to be a large gray area.

A guy at Speedometer Solutions says I need the following (Got there information from Auto Meter)

Speed sensor $98
New speedo gear $35
New gear housing $ $68.75

This seems a little over the top.

The Jeep is a 1995 YJ with fuel injection 4.0 with the NP231 transfer case.

Any advise would be appreciated. Or if there is somewhere I can bring the parts to and have this done that would be the better alternative. I just do not have the time to mess with this.

Thanks,

Troy

I have a resettable self-calibrating Auto meter speedo.

You push a button drive exactly 1 mile and push again.
it does the rest.

Run me about 225...
