Ax-5 help

I have a 94 Yj and the tranny is shot no fifth gear and 1st is sticking horribly. anyway i was wondering if I can put any Ax-5 tranny in it or do I have to stick with a 94-95 like i"ve read. can I use a Tj or a Cherokee\comanchee Ax-5. Please let me know i need my jeep back...

You should be able to use any AX5 from a 4 cylinder Jeep. But why? They are weak. I would upgrade to at least an AX15, but you'll need an adapter from Advance Adapters.
