So Ive been looking into a 231/205 doubler.. I have found enough info to lead me to believe it can be done but thats about it.
I have a 89 yj it will for sure be getting an ax15 at some point, it is and will be a very mild wheeler. but I guess once you own a doubler ..you want one in everything. Or atleast I DO!
So yea, does anyone have any real info on doing this? How long is it? can it be done in a stock wheelbase yj? Wheres the best place to get the kit? Whats it cost? yadayadayada..thanks in advance gang.

Its going to be tough to get a decent rear driveshaft angle with a doubler in a stock wheelbase jeep. I'm not saying it can't be done, but that is one of the reasons so many people just use a 300 with a 4:1 gears instead.

reason for running a 205..they are already drivers drop and MUCH MUCH easier to find in my area, as far as doing the 4.1 in the 300..if its as expensive as the 4.1 for the 231..FORGET THAT lol
Im just playing with ideas, not in any rush, on the other hand i may end up doing the 231/205 in my explorer to get the 5.3 to 1 low gear over the 4 to 1 i have now.
I like 205s other than the crap low range, I personally saw a dana 300 snap the output in half, never seen a 205 do that
