What is everyone using? I found this one on Amazon but I think that s ridiculous for a piece of plastic.

I've also seen the bellows style which is even more.
 
Belows are worth it for me.
$20 to make sure my axles aren't full of shit is cheap I think.

NAPA ftw. They had one in stock for $6.50. I went ahead and told her to order me two more for reasons. What's funny is after you figure in the amount of hose you need to run it up and into the dry it's probably the same cost as one of the fancy bellows :lol:
 
I use hose and a tiny inline fuel filter and run it up under the hood or into the gas door in the case of the rear axle.
 
We call them mouth breathers round here but some people just call them Logan.
 
At road speed the pressure/heat becomes enough to push them off, or push past seals instead.

You're absolutely correct.
That said, the standard belows everyone is using are a Suzuki motorsport part and will not accommodate enough volume variation for a one ton axle in a street application.

I'm sure other models are available. I just don't have any experience with them.

Yes it would. but at this point, run a hose up to the chassis, a couple loops and a filter as normal.

Also, no idea how much more volume / hose length would be needed to accept the volume variation.

To me, the attract of a below is to be self contained to the axle only and prevent shit to get in and oil to get out in case of a rollover.
