axle id help

ok one of my buddys wreck his truck and is looking to sell it as parts. it was a 80 lwb 4x4 250. i think its a dana 60 in the rear. its got a 10 bolt cover and looks the way it should. i think its geared 3.54? does any of this sound right ford guys???????????????????????

also what would be a good price on it?????? thanks

how come 60 fronts cost more than 60 rears???

Alot more going on in a front axle than a rear........front steers(knuckles etc.), 35 spline inner, 30 spline outer, diff. center section with cast-in spring perch. Also ford 60s are high pinion($), unlike chevy and dodge. Those are just a few, I'm sure everyone else will chime in with many other, more specific reasons.
