Axle identification

need help identifying an axle under a 1979 f-350 truck. It's not the original I'm about sure. It has a removable third member like a 9" but also has a diff cover that's totally round. Has ten bolts on diff cover and the third member pinion comes in at a low angle to the pass side
 
Older Eaton HO52/72 axle? Believe they came in earlier Chevy ton trucks.
Look similar?

Which would mean if someone swapped in a HO72, they must have broken a Dana 70.
 
That's cool, I'm not sure if I've ever seen one of those. Sure looks the same from Google images. Actually, the pinion bearing flange does look familiar...
