Axle Shaft Lengths

Are all Fullsize D44 axle shafts the same length? I know that Chevys are Pass-side drop and Ford is DS but are the shaft lengths the same? Also, if anyone knows what the lengths are, itd be appreciated.
 
No, they aren't the same. Don't have any measurements for you, but I can tell you that some of the Ford fullwidth 44's have different length axle shafts, between the 150's and 250's. Not sure about the chevys though...

Well did a lil more searching and kinda answered my own question.....

1973-1978 GM 1/2 Ton, with front Dana 44 axle.
----Driver Side Axle shafts, Inner: 36.13" / Outer: 9.94"
----Passenger Side Axle shafts, Inner: 18.31" / Outer: 9.94"
1977-1987 GM 1/2 and 3/4 Ton with front GM 8.5" axle.
----Drivers Side Axle shafts, Inner: 35.46" / Outer: 9.94"
----Passenger Side Axle shafts, Inner: 19.15" / Outer: 9.94"
1971-1977 Ford Bronco with front Dana 44 axle.
----Drivers Side Axle shafts, Inner: 18.31" / Outer: 9.72"
----Passenger Side Axle shafts, Inner: 27.94" / Outer: 9.72"
1978-1979 Ford Bronco /1968-1979 F150. with front Dana 44 axle.
----Driver Side Axle shafts, Inner: 18.91" / Outer: 9.72"
----Passenger Side Axle shafts, Inner: 33.91" / Outer: 9.72"
1974-79 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer with front Dana 44 axle.
----Driver Side Axle shafts, Inner: 33.19" / Outer: 9.94"
----Passenger Side Axle shafts, Inner: 14.69" / Outer: 9.94"
1980-92 Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer with front Dana 44 axle.

Still lookin for some of the Dodge lengths, but this is a start......
 
For the dodge 1 piece shaft conversion
79-84 dodge ram with a 37" shaft. timken seal 473812 will have to be added to the diff housing on the passenger side, you will have to make a cad block off plate and the housing will have to taped for a vent since the cad vent will be eliminated
 
thanks, but i think im gonna just swap it out completely, but im glad that i have this option incase funds are limited... but i was trying to find all the different lengths for different reasons as well, so if anyone has some more info on shaft lenghs for diff d44s?
