axle swap

its the ttb crap isnt it? i'd think that a 77-79 d44 would work pretty simple with a modified radius arm. and trac bar.
have you tried googling it?

leafs or coils? obviously, leafs would be a direct bolt in. i know of a guy on another forum that swapped out his ttb D50 for a solid D60, but he had leaves

oh ok, good to know. have you thought about getting a D50 from a newer F250? they're coil sprung as well, you'd just have to come up with a track bar mount for the frame

Nah not really. I mean if I did that then id have to do the rear too for the different lug pattern. Rather keep it more simple. I just got the truck but I know im gonna want to swap it when I start wheeling it

true, i was ready to get rid of the TTB shit under my bronco as well. they work well in a factory suspension, but when you start lifting the TTB, they want to cooperate less and less.

i dont think you're gonna find a direct bolt in. but there are several choices of axles to choose from.

if you found a FW 44 from an earlier fullsize bronco or ford truck, you'd have to swap out the axle, the radius arms and the raidus arm frame mounts (which may or may not interfer with your trans cross member).

a leaf sprung solid axle would require you to modify the axle to accept coils, (lots of companies make brackets for that though). or modiflying the frame for leaves.

if it were me, i'd find something already set up for coils and modify whatever i needed to swap it in.
