Backwards Boggers?

why does anyone do this? I'm talking all four tires backwards, not just the fronts(helps back out of a mudhole). Here's 2 vids of Dan Dibble.. doesn't seem like its helping him..

If you notice they are pretty worn. I am considering doing this to mine since the lead edge is pretty round. Imagine what his would do with TSL's or IROK's

He is now running TSL's, and surprise, surprise, says they work ALOT better than boggers..

And it doesn't help that his rig weighs like 7000 lbs+

i dont know about boggers .. but i run iroks and some other i know run there iroks backwards ... they say that they dont chunk out as bad and it works better on the rocks that way

With that kind of wheel speed, I dont think it matters which way they are pointed.

i think that last one the tires looked to have more tread possibly on them... plus i would think that the boggers wouldnt work as well in mud or whatnot backwards because they wouldnt clean out as well...

I asked a guy that was running his baja claws backwards if they performed better. He said his theory behind running tires backwards was that instead up pushing rocks and dirt away from the tires it would pull the rocks and dirt into the tread and that gave him better traction.

Yeah dibble obviously runs rockwell axles and he breaks axleshafts. That's why I think he runs these.. Try to focus on the shaft

he runs 2" gun drilled 47 spline shafts from ouversons
