Bad Cat On Yj

I have a 1990 wrangler 4.2 and my catalytic converter is about to come off. Would it hurt any thing on my engine to cut it off and run it straight piped for a while? And what would be a good exhaust system to run on it?

You can run it straight piped for as long as your local shop will inspect it

Just get a universal cat from any parts place... have a local shop make you an exhaust if you want.

You can take a straight piece of steel and use a BFH to knock the insides out. Prob be better to go ahead and buy a universal for emissions.
