Backing out of my driveway two days ago my 10 bolt EXPLODED. Took out 16 teeth, spiders, and cracked the carrier in multiple places. Fast forward until tonight. Took my brothers Jeep out to the bar to meet some friends. Left and went downtown to another bar. They closed at 12 and we all walked out to the parking lot to head home.
When we get to the parking lot my Jeep wasn't there. It wasn't towed, and I'm the only one with a key as we have no spares. Jeep = STOLEN! It was at this point when I had one of those "Really?" moments. I couldn't believe it. Only having been in the bar for a little over an hour, on a Sunday night, I just thought no way. Wasn't really mad as there was nothing I could do except stare at my empty spot. BTW if any of you decide to go to Natty Greene's don't park in spot 131. Anyways, its 2:15 just got home from dealing with the cops. Hopefully they'll find it tonight and I'll have it back tomorrow. It was a big reality check and put things into perspective for me as I've been cursing my truck for laying down on me the past few days.
Moral of the story is that it is most certainly better to have, than to not have at all. I may not have the nicest things in the world but it sure puts things into perspective when someone decides to take them from you.
Everybody be thankful for whatcha got!
