Bad weather plans

isnt using a kerosene or propane heater indoors a carbon monoxide risk?
Have a carbon monoxide detector. The propane heater has a low O2 shut off. and as often as the doors are open, I don't see a big risk. Have done it so many times it's almost 2nd nature.

drive straight to the grocery store and buy all of the bread and milk. then sell it outside for a profit:flipoff2:

keep the generator full of gas, a few extra cases of beer and water, and break out the coleman stove.

I allway think the bread and milk thing is so funny. I have not had a glass of mike since I was 5 years old. And don;t eat much bread.

:)

i just go to the fire house. anything and everything i could need in an ice storm.

no circulation in the rear... feet or hands (cold hands warm heart)

Get some "Hot Hands"... stick them in your boots, wherever... keep 'em toasty for 8 hours or so.

We 'camped' in our house for three days in the ice storm three (that long now?) years ago... we have gas backup, but electric heat, so we woke up to transformers blowing up down the street and trees falling and took one last hot shower before the water went cold again. We called up friends with a gas stove so we could have dinner with them. When it got dark, we built a tent out of blankets and pretty much stayed in bed for 10 hours... Yes, we came up with plenty of ways to stay warm... ;) but we also have headlamps for camping and so we read a lot.

Now we have a dog to help keep us warm and we just got a hand-me-down generator... If all else fails, we have even better friends with a commercial gas range that will heat up their whole house. ;)
