barn-find scrambler

So for the last couple years on my way to my hunting property I have been passing this scrambler in a old tobacco barn. Just sitting there and never moves. Dont know anything about it, but its POOOOR country down there and I doubt that they are saving it for a set of rockwells and an Atlas if you get my drift. So things are good now to bring home a new toy. I am sure that the owners would have no idea where the title would be, they never do. If I went down there and negotiated a cash sale, how do I go about making all of this legal assuming I get a 'bill of sale' and the truck. I have access to a hauler down there and it could be a 10 minute deal if I play it right. I would assume that I could file for titles, but since I dont live down there, how many of the various ways of making this legal include me and them at the DMV? Thats a real buzz-kill. I am in no hurry so waiting periods are not a problem. Actually it would just go from their barn to my barn just down the road a ways. And while we're at it, whats a nice non-wheeled hardtop scrambler worth?

NC DMV has a process. I researched it 10 years ago for a barn find m38a1 that my brother has. Google on indemnity bond and NC DMV.

When i bought my nx the previous owner could not find the title. So, take them down to the dmv office, they can apply for a lost title, and transfer it to you in one shot. it worked for me..

Is this the same one you were telling me about?
I think you called it "your wet dream" . Go ahead and buy the thing and put that big block in it, make it flex a little, make it crawl a little, and call me so I can show you how to drive it!:flipoff2:

i'll help ya

Tell me where it's at...I'll handle the title....:flipoff2:

BTW...you suck...

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I do have the 6.0 engine, a 700r, 4 more D300s, and a spare winch. Add in a set of of tons with H1's and spring it over. ummmmm tasty. Seriously though, I will need a tub here shortly and this would be a cool platform to switch over to. The stupid thing is splitting from door to door! I would like to exo around that hard top or even consider the full soft top. Either way, its a cool ride. Anybody know how much longer the WB is stock?

You have 4 300s? I would like to do what Chip Price did.

He used a 231 and a 300 and made it a doubler. So I guess what Im saying is.........Dude, bring me a 300!

Oh yes, I have the rest of the tire money, so do you want me to mail a check, or give you cash when you deliver my 300?:flipoff2: And dont give me no :poop:

sorry, I had to use the poo smiley

doubla'

hey Holmes, no need for a doubla. spinnin' that low gear auto with the tree-oh-oh (300) is all the crawl that I need. The reason that I have so many is that I found out how hard they are to find (and break) so I picked them up when the price got right. kinda like the 4x4 stock market. hence the same reason I have the 700... now the reason for the 6.0 is just to piss off Fulcher, or thats what I will lead him to believe.

(gratuitous ghetto speak thrown in there so Ricky doesnt feel isolated)
