Bart SuperTrucker wheels, disc clearance?

What I'm working with:

Bart SuperTrucker wheels
-15"
-3.5" backspacing

Eaton H072 axle
-8lug

I need to do a disc swap on this axle. What caliper/disc options do I have that will allow the above listed 15" wheel to fit. Preferably without significant grinding.

I have read some reports that the rear disc swap doesn't run into issues, only the front. But other reports say problems arise front and rear. Other sources say to use 1/2 ton brakes, etc etc.

Anyone able to shed some light on this? I've reached out to the wheel mfg in hopes they can provide a rim profile diagram that might help determine, but not holding my breath on that option.

I am not concerned with front wheel clearance issues.

Thanks!

It's not really dependent on the Eaton axle, just what rotor, brackets and calipers you run, which will determine how far back from the wheel mounting surface and how far away from the axle the outside of the calipers are. Read what people are doing with 14 bolts.

Get on Pirate 4x4 and do some searches. There are a lot of threads on this topic.

I am sure you will need to grind the calipers a bit to clear those wheels. Something with less backspacing would require less grinding, but stick out much further.

Updated original post.

No, no diff cover needed. This beast shouldn't be seeing any use that would need additional protection. :burnout:

Alright, got some measurements from the mfg....

Does anyone have the radius/measurement from center of axle tube to top of caliper handy?

And is there a lighter duty caliper that 1) will fit the aftermarket brackets available from a number of sources and 2) has a shorter stack height?
