where or what kind are the best beadlocks,i dohave a pair of steel wheels but not sure where to get a some beadlocks or suggestions, hoping you guys could help?

It all depends on what you are wanting...

There is DIY (weld on single locks), internal double locks, 2 piece rim double locks, and manufactured single (and double) locks.

The best ones are $$$$$$ but worth the coin IMHO.

link? i didnt link anything. There are lots of different brands of manufactured beadlocks. None of them are really cheap...the cheapest ones are basically just standard steel wheels with a lip pre-welded on (think professional DIY beadlocks). There are aluminum, alloys, steel, etc etc. All are different prices and have different pros and cons. Do you have a budget in mind to narrow down your search?

Hit up mud (Ssills on here) he can make you a set, he does really great work, and you won't beat the prices. The ones he makes are DIiY ones, if you have steel wheels give him the measurement from the inside of the lip on the outer edge of the rim. You will need to weld or have the inner ring welded on. Thats about the gist of it.

you can have a set of DIYs for under $300 with hardware if you have the steelies already.

Or keep an eye out in the forsale section and pick up a set for decent.

Really depends on your needs also, Lug pattern and so on.

IMO - 5 or 6 lug I would do DYI, 8 lug I would look at H1 12 bolts, But thats just me

I litterly screw the tire to the rim about every 2" with 3/4" sheet metal screws. I predrill the rim and tire with 1/8" drill. That does a great job holding the tire on, but leaks air, so I put an inner tube in it. Run at 3 PSI all the time. Get "natural" rubber tubes from summit racing.

Hummer rims are also very popular. These came on the original H1 military hummer vehicles. They are a double bead lock wheel with an internal piece that presses the bead of the tire againts the rim. They are 16.5 x 8 size, but with like 7" of backspacing, so most folks have to recenter them for a more reasonable back spacing.

This dude sells re-centered rims and the internal locks, plus rock rings etc.

x2 on mudpro. Go with his and weld them on yourself, Travis.

I had steel beadlocks that I made and they worked great but they were heavy..

I now run alum rims with inner air locks and they works great.. I have not pushed them to there limits like my steel ones but have had no issues so far
