How much width does a set of DIY Beadlocks add to you rim width? I was thinking that it was only like 1/2" to 1" at the most. I have an old set of 15x8's that I want to try a set of locks on. I'd like to run a set of the 36x13.50 Iroks on them, but believe they wiil be to narrow. I run 10" wheels on my set on my EB. What do you think?

1 1/2" to 2" remember you are changing the tire seat, old measurment is inside bead to inside bead. now it will be inside bead to outside of TIRE bead.
So you have to figure in from inside bead plus thickness of weld on peice, plus thickness of tire bead. I got almost 2" on mine.

I got 1/2-3/4" with mine..

I run my 36x13.50 Iroks on a standard set of 15x8's...

ran them that way for over a year, now I have Staun internal beadlocks and am using the same rims...

36" Iroks on 15x8's with no beadlocks here too.

the DIY beadlocks will add 1-2", depending on the tire you run. A bias ply tire like the irok will add a little more width than a radial tire due to the added thickness of the bead.
