Bear Trouble

I have a 2004 Big Bear and when I ride it I have to have the choke at least halfway on. If I turn it off it will sputter and lose a lot of power. I have drained the gas in the tank and cleaned the lines out. The sparkplug is fine.
Does anyone know what could be causing it to do this?

I would guess the next obvious thing would be a dirty carburator or vacuum leak.

Agreed. Sounds like a gummed up carb.
