Here's a spec run down
Engine Rebuilt by Vintage Elsinores 36hp stock...41hp now
New frame...stock was cracked up
82 CR480R 43mm front end with dual leading shoe drum brakes
Maxxis 21" front Maxxis 18" rear
Progressive Rear shocks
1980 Model Swingarm
VMX Racing OEM repo plastics...1980 Side panels
Also I am in an Ankle splint due to the compression on this thing yesterday.
This post-vintage bike is one of the fastest of it's day
Also this bike was my father's in 1979 when he brought in new...after it broke his leg he sold it...now it's back home.

When I was a lot younger I loved to motocross race and seeing that brings back alot of good stuff between my Father & I. (passed away 3yrs August) Coolbike and really nice job. That was cutting edge back then, great to see one restored....AWESOME:beer::beer:

Dude, that thing is sweet! I dont want to imagine 41 hp with drum brakes up front though...especially with the 2 stroke hit! My dream bike is an older KX500 restored with supermoto wheels and tires....

Those were the good ole days when you actually had the Open Class. 500s were the shiat back then. Imagine what some of these guys today could do with an open bike
