What can I do here? I have a slight bend in my Currie tie rod after this past weekend's trip to The Flats (new obstacle at the end of Rock Ledge).

Any way to get these straightened out? Doesn't appear that the "put a bottle jack under it" method with work.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Define "slight bend".

Does it cycle w/o hitting anything? If it's just barely bent, I wouldn't worry about it.

It is just slightly bent, but I would like it to be straight again.

Besides buying another one, I was wondering what methods have been used to straighten out a chromemoly tie rod?

Find somebody near you with a HF pipe bender.

Large ratchet strap with the bend rotated toward the axle and attach it to a solid point and the center of the bend, pull it out enough to account for spring back. I loop the strap around the tie rod as opposed to just hooking the end to the tie rod. This all dependent on how bad the slight bend is.

If you drive it on the street you'll most definitely want to get it straightened, the toe in will kill your tires pretty quick. If you're bending them fairly often I'd have a new one made out of 7075-T6 aluminum. With currie steering since its still the inverted Y type you're likely to only bend the tie rod not the drag link. A currie tierod is just a simple bar with female 7/8 18tpi threads cut in each end. I'd use 1.5 or 1.25 diameter. You'll only need like 26" so it shouldnt be too terribly expensive.

Well okay it's a little more pricey than I expected, Poly performance has it http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/Poly-Performance-Branded-Aluminum-Tie-Rod-Drag-Link-p-18529.html
