Just trying to get some better opinions than my own. Looking to run 31's, and do a 2-2.5" lift.

Not really looking to spend $1000+ right now on a lift but would like the best, most complete lift for the money. More road driving than anything but do some light wheeling offroad and trails.

Thanks guys!

Could run spacers.

Or do a 2-1/2" Rough Country with the progressive coils.

2" budget boost and old man emu shocks.

Rough country rear track bar bracket and tc drop spacer.

That will get you started and ride good.

You don't need a TC drop or a rear track bar bracket at 2 1/2" of lift.

For a cheap lift I went with jk Rubicon springs in the rear, Moog variable rates for the front for a zj. Got some rs5000x that were $150 after rebate. Spent a total of $250. Rides well, and flexes well. Gave me 2.5 inches.

Maybe, maybe not.

I just put a 2.5" ome lift on my nieces 03 TJ.

After 4 washers dropping the tc it still had vibrations on acceleration. I went ahead and got the spacers.

Old man emu

Just so I'm not confused:

OME makes a 2.5" lift kit that consists of four springs and four shocks, and retails for $900?

Is it $600 better than a Rough Country lift? Or $500 better than a set of RC progressive springs and some Bilsteins?

In my opinion yes it is worth it. Every thing I have had through the years that was made by RC went in the trash or CL shortly after I tried their junk. My way of thinking is to use a good product and properly set it up and maintain it for it to last the life of the rig.

So, what specifically about the OME kit is 3x better than the RC kit?

I have a 2.5" RC lift that has had the piss wheeled out of it for the last five years, and it's fine. It rides better than stock. The rest of their parts may be complete shit, but I have no complaints about the TJ lift.

Probably going to buy another one of them to put on @trailhugger Jeep once we quit spending money on other stupid stuff.

I've never had the 2.5" RC setup so I will have to take your word on that. I have had a 4" and a 6" that were total junk. Very bad ride and handling and would require other upgrades to make me happy. That's my .02
