My track bar is shot on my jeep Cherokee. I'm planning on going to a stronger adjustable over the stock one. Right now i'm on a rubicon express 3.5 lift. i would prefer not to have to change out any brackets.

Been thinking about the iron man andy track bar. How does that johny joint effect everything?

Grab a RE HD trac bar with mount or Ironman trac bar. You’ll be glad you did the upgrade. Nothing sucks worse than driving home from a ride with a toasted trac bar (DW for miles)

After watching a suspension articulate I wouldn’t want anything except a heim or a JJ on a trac bar. Rubber bushings seem too restrictive.

I have a Rubicon Express track bar NIB that I'll sell you, but I have to warn you that they don't belong on the "best track bar" list. Currie is better, though more expensive.

I'd run one of Andy's, but he told me I needed a lot more lift to clear the diff. The Currie is offset to the front, and still hits on stuff.

I'd just roll with an Iron Man Andy track bar and bracket. If you can find a cheap RE or similar JJ style track bar to run in the mean time that'd work for your usage. All the clearance issues you have with that style are mainly low lift TJ's, your XJ has plenty of lift to clear the diff.

Will a johny joint style track bar working with the stock bracket?

Nope.
Seriously. Get the Ironman track bar and frame mount. Buy once, cry once and never, ever have a second thought about it. It's a superior product all the way around.
I did what Jody said and pulled the trigger so I can actually drive without dodging pot holes. Now time to find time to get it installed. I didn't get the brace yet. But got the track bar and bracket. How hard is it to undo the bolts on the track bar bracket?

they unbolt pretty easily.. not too hard to get to or anything.. maybe pull the air cleaner housing.. impact should take them loose right quick.

My track bar, bracket and brace finally came in and it looks amazing and beefy as all get out. Cant wait to get it installed.

Depending on how saucy you feel you can stitch weld the bracket to the “frame” and never have to worry about it coming loose. I have seen all the different name brand brackets work loose over time. Welding = no loosening.

I need to step up to this. It is the beefiest bracket I’ve seen available other than some good home built options.
