whats the best 4" exhaust for a '06 powerstroke diesel? I plan on running an egr delete and sct programmer but want to do a 4" turbo back exhaust first. what are you guys running or know of thats better than others? thanks

Just take it and have the muffler and converter deleted that's what I did on mine has a great tone and was about a hundred so a whole lot less then a full system

Mbrp makes a great kit for budget prices. Also lukes diesel, power by Poole and farm boys offer expandit.
Just make sure you get the egr cooler delete done and do a oil cooler at the same time. A coolant filter also gives you a little added protection!

I gotta keep the muffler due to virginia laws grr... i think i'll look a little deeper into mbrp i was planning on doing the egr cooler delete. school me on the oil cooler?

The oil cooler is actually under the oil filter housing. Due to a poorly designed plastic screen, direction of coolant flow, and silicate build up the oil cooler would "stop up" or the lower coolant passages in the cooler to become blocked. Therefore reducing oil cooler efficiency and blocking coolant flow. Its replacement is key in making the 6.0l bullet proof. Much easier to do all at once with egt cooler delete. The new cooler comes with a upgraded screen. I would also look at a blue spring regulator upgrade if it hasn't already been done, increased fuel pressure has show to extend injector life. Might also consider synthetic oil and/or an additive like revx .

I'm running a 4" straight piped bully dog system on my 6.0.

Diamond eye exhaust sells a good budget kit also. It is usually cheaper than mbrp and I have never had a problem with them.

Just ordered an MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust should be here in a few days. Ordered it through L & N performance and dealt with "mysterync" great guy to deal with. Thanks again Lucas.

Yes, Lucas is an excellent guy

...basically gave me a case of Type-F fluid back at the 2010 dyno day when my trans shit the bed

Get the Ford Gold coolant out of it first. Then get a non-silicate based diesel coolant in it. Then proceed as desired.
