best lift kit for a grand cherokee

my first kit was a 4" rough country .most will say their :poop:but i was very pleased with the kit and it had the most flex of any short arm kit. u will also need some sway bar discos for the front and ditch the rear sway bar. in my opinion 4" was the happy point of my zj that lift a little trimming of the bumpers a set of 33s, sliders and skids and it will go just fine+be a good dd as for gears if its a 6cyl u need 4.56 with 33's and a v8 will pull good with 3.73-4.10 . also if it has a 249 t-case get rid of it asap. for a 242 or 231. just my 2 cent hope it helps.

(Assuming you are reffering t a ZJ and not WJ) I know the RE 3.5 kit is a good one, and IIRC it is priced accordingly. I did the F=>R swap (put the front springs in the rear and get some 4-4.5" coils up front.), which gave me 4.5 inches of lift. Of course then, you need to get a long arm kit to really get the performance out of the lift. Mine was on short arms and did fairly well. If you have the money, I would try to get a long arm kit, but they are quite expensive and require fabrication.
