I would like to know with someone who has had experience with LA kits for a tj which is the best out there im thinking of buyin either a rubicon express kit or a fabtech kit looking for 6 inches i know rubicons is 5.5 but i already have a 1 inch body lift , and if i went with either could i use 36'' iroks on trail plain on buying 6'' bushwackers also thanks.

Ive got RE 4.5" springs and a 2" body, and the 36" Iroks have plenty of clearance. If you do a search for "long arm kit" or soemthing like that, you will find 3 or more threads about this same topic.

First, you should know the RE 5.5 springs will net close to 7" initially then settle out to about 6.5". Not sure how the Fabtech springs measure up.

I have the RE 4.5 springs and the Clayton LA and I'm happy with the setup. My buddy has the RE LA on an Unlimited and it's a good kit too. To run the 36 Iroks you might just consider the 4.5 springs, 1" BL and adjust your bumpstops to keep a better center of gravity.

Nth degree is the $hit, i have seen several guys that have them on their TJ's and thier awsome. They flex as good or better than the R.E., but make the ride on the road better than stock.

I know this is something usually flamed upon, but I have ordered TeraFlexs' long arm upgrade w/ the tri-link rear and long front uppers (LCG PRO). This is their new generation arms w/ the joints, not the "flex" arms. This is not a bolt on kit by any means, as most of the brackets are weld on, but I am impressed so far of the quality. I have not had a chance to run this suspension yet, I am just throwing another option for you to think about.... It also allows me to use their belly up skid for the extra ground clearance (you can use your own skid, but have to make certain cuts to clear the arms) Good luck on your search!

Each Rod end has up 5" of adjustment. There also threaded to adjust length w/o having to remove (pinion adj. etc.)

Don't think you can go wrong with either of the ones listed..... I've heard good things about the RE kits as well as the Full Traction 6" , Good write up on www.4x4xplor.com on the Full Traction lift

I prefer Clayton Long Arms on my TJ.

Very Strong- my brother had the kit on his ZJ. He got into a bad wreck that totalled the jeep. The axle housing even bent but the long arms and crossmember were totally fine.

Do you really need 6" of lift and 1" body lift to run 36" tires?

no...

I have the RE kit with the tri-link option...

however, I have converted to coilovers and stretched the wheelbase...but the kit is nice...

my rear lowers and uppers are a little beefier than stock now...:D
