Hi,
New in the Charlotte area, from Boston.
Looking to get into wheeling with my wifes currently stock
99 Disco II. If it's fun will invest in a more modifiable 4x4.
Any wheeling trails around that are newbie friendly?
Also, are there any clubs that handle new wheelers ok?
Thanks,
Chuckles

Can't speak for the other clubs, but I can tell you what I know about the Carolina Trail Blazers.
We are a family oriented group. We do run some hard trails, but most of the time there are alternate route you can take for a less capable rig. URE is a good place to start, and not too far. Brown Mnt is another good place for a stocker. Mnt City even has a good many easy trails. Between those, you can easily figure out if you like this past time, and you will certainly see a need/desire for a more modified trail rig.

Cool,
Thanks guys.
I hoped some of the local clubs would be good with newbies.
I'll check out those sites.
Job is decent, and wife met me when I was still playing hockey, so she's pretty easygoing with my youthful (read a two year old knows better) tendencies.

Although I'm a member of the NC Krawlers, I used to be part of the Trailblazers from around '94 up to about 2000. Great group of guys with all different levels of rigs. Being in the east its hard to ride with them as much as I had wanted back then.

If you are more east, then I'd suggest the NC Krawlers. Great group as well.
