bfg 31" a/ts on a stock jeep with no lift

have a set of bfg a/t 31" and a stock 98 xj want to put the tires on it i know it will fit but wouldn't it look kinda stupid with no lift?

If by fit, you mean rub whenever you hit a bump, then yes.

You'd need some lift, or some fender trimming to not trash the tires from rubbing.

get a cheap lift at least 2 inches there pretty cheap

you can buy the cheap lift kit off of ebay for around 200 bucks...

I have the same tires on my XJ with 3.5" lift plus 1" spacer on the front. I removed the front bumper cover with the fender flare because it rubbed. I still get an occaisional rub when backing up turning the wheels all the way.

Yep, and if you're nervous about putting the lift on, people on here will help out for cheap.
3" or less lift on a XJ is ~4-6 hours work. (Depending on how many beers are involved.)
