BFG KM2 light cracking

I have some 37 KM2's that have light cracking between the lugs. No cracking on the sidewalls and no cracking around the bead area. The tires are 3 years old and have roughly 3-4K miles on them. The jeep is stored in a garage and it gets driven to and from the trail 6-8 times a year. Is this normal?

Actually I really don't know what causes it besides just being a hard rubber compound.

Man I hate how cracked my reds are but they work

I've read that reds crack just wondering if anyone with KM2'S has similar cracks.

I'm going to go check my KM2 right now & check them but I haven't noticed any cracking.

Just checked, they look fine. Mine have around 8000 miles & it did sit for 6 months with light use. Dot date on mine is 2013

I'd say normal. Especially since they stay in storage a lot. These are around 3 years old, but have a lot more miles.

My KM2s have cracks on top of the treads, but I'm guessing it is because it needs an alignment.
