I am wanting to get a new set of tires. I don't drive my Jeep as a daily driver and it is trailered to the the trails. I do like to drive it work every now and then and few times on the weekend. Should I spend the extra money and get the radials or just get the bias ply.

Why bias over the radials?? kinda curious.

Thanks

WAY sticker on the rocks, ect., stronger sidewall. For a trailered rig, that's the way to go. On the road, bias plys lose tread depth quickly.

I know Troy and know what he does with his truck. For the few miles he is putting on them for the road he will benefit much more from a bias ply because it is mostly a trail toy only......

bias

the bias tires are also a lot lighter than radials. This extra weight saps power and breaks more stuff. My next set will be bias IROKS (and Stauns)... for me its the weight and cost (not the grip) that makes bias better. I like the IROK radials for my non-beadlocked Jeep right now. The ride is smooth and quiet and they should wear a little slower.
