I've had a 05 Kodiak 450 since it was new and haven't had any issues with it so far. With that said I'm ready to go for a big bore so my first choice was obviously a Griz 700. I went and test road one at my dealer and I have to say it left me wanting more. I mean it was way more than the 450 but just lacked that big bore power i was hoping for. Enter Can-am Outlander 1000 xt (82hp vs 46hp). I was a die hard Yamaha fan but.... Does anyone have any experience with Can-am? I know for 2012 they have the G2 chassis which addresses the prior handling issues and the Rotax engine seems to be pretty bullet proof......any input would be helpful.

Oh and it will be between these two. I just can't warm up to the polaris or brute force.

I always liked Can AM because of the power etc. I have worked on a buddy of mines several times, an I must say they arent built very well. They could have done alot to strengthen the A-arms an other stuff. I have been reading alot about people braking the frames on a regular basis. I am not talking about people racing them, just riding in general. They are lacking in the build dept. On the other hand I know Mike Penland personaly, he is a factory sponsored rider from Can Am. I rode one of his race 4 wheelers an OH MY GOSH. I have never rode a 4 wheeler with more power. I have owned Banshees, Quad Zilla, YFZ 450. I have never rode a stronger, an faster 4 wheeler in my life, But it is also built to the gills. Me personaly I would stick with Yamaha.

hey you, let me get you up with Will Lackey. He's got pull with the dealer in T-ville, he's been sponsered by them for the ski races and has demo-ed and raced some of the quad stuff too. See You At Work........

Spend the same time on each seat and see for youself that the canam will gentle on the buttcheeks. My next wheeler will be a canam. :wheel:
