Big Brother + Pizza

Would? You mean you already do?

Next time you call Papa John's, ask them how many pizzas you've purchased from them. They can tell you, and they've been doing this for years and years.

Any company keeping their own records is fine by me, but the rest of that is just invasion of privacy.

How many use those discount cards that all the pharmacies, pet supply stores, gorcery stories, etc. offer? What do you think they are doing when they scan that card? Just giving you discounts and not tracking your purchases? ;)

How else would you expect the business to get any better? Companies use that info (i can see uses for ALL of that) in order to provide better service to their customers.

Exactly why I didn't use my name, current address or real phone number when I filled out the info sheet. then have worn out a few cards and just get a new card and mix a few numbers from the old card in the process.

The drone at the checkout told me I couldn't did it like that, Wanna bet ?

It's a crock of crap that they pump up prices then offer you a discount on said product IF you use the store card. I understand the purpose, and I chose to remain a faceless pawn in their chess game.

I get enough junk mail as it is, cyber and otherwise.

Google is watching everything you post online.
And AT&T sends everything to the NSA. http://www.eff.org/news/archives/2006_04.php#004538

Oh, and your healthcare company has your information on a missing laptop with an unencrypted drive. And many companies make money selling their unencrypted used backup tapes for use by smaller businesses (and anyone smart enough to buy it and sell the data).
