Jody completely re-engineered my jeep. I bought a used 2003 wrangler 3 - 4 years ago, 4.0 with the dreaded 0.69 overdrive. Kid before me had done a suspension lift - 3 inches with 33’s ( 3.73 gears ). Needless to say, it was quite a dog. I bought it to keep in my mountain home ( Asheville area ) - rather than a utv. Jody and I discussed options - ended up with: 4.88 gears, truetracks front and back, strengthened axles in the back (unfortunately, I do not have the d44), axle covers, diff rebuilds, every fluid possible changed, and new wheels - had 28 lb cragers and upgraded to 16 lb alloys. Needless to say - it is a new jeep. Jody did a great job, more conscientious than any shop I had been in (he even noticed a glitch in the linkage from the prior lift install and fixed it ), kept me up to date, sent photos and texts, and helped source parts and of course - more cost effective.
The results - the performance is great - rides well on the highway now ( can cruise at 65 - 70 ), plus very zippy around town. And cornering seems night and day - lots more fun to drive ! Hmmm - wonder if he does strokers J
If you need jeep work done - I recommend him. Although mostly gearing for me - I am sure he can do anything involved mechanicals.
