Bilstein 5125 valving question

Looking at shocks cause I'm getting ready to lower my jeep and needs some new ones any ways. I've been looking at the Bilstein 5125s. They offer 2 different valving options for the shocks I'm looking at, a 255/70 and a 170/60. Whats the differences in the two?

Front or rear? I'm running 255/70 on the rear of my Xterra because I wanted more dampening...

I'd probably run the 255/70 on the rear of an XJ as well..

255/70 valving is used for a single shock setup at each wheel and 170/60 would be used if you wanted a dual shock setup at each wheel.
