I've been clearing some land for a friend, and loaded up some black walnut. 35" diameter, 6' piece, 30" diameter 6' piece, and a 25" diameter 10ft piece. What would be the best thing to do with it? Can I sell it?

Should be some money logs to the right place, probably a smaller specialty furniture shop or something along those lines. Make mantles or something and sell them.

X2, you can get a ton of money for those. Furniture makers would gladly take those off your hands or you can make them into mantles as said above. My cousin had a 4x6x12 ft piece and sold it to someone as a mantle I believe.

Call your local woodworking store, they will know who would want it. Any burls on those logs?

Might be a few, but I'm not really sure.

Uh, yeah.
Just be sure it's a lake on your own land and nobody else knows where they are, or you might be a little surprised when the time comes.

Makes good gun stocks. But have to find the right buyer that wants to shape them.

A small time mill may can help you out with somebody looking for some.
