looking for someone that can weld a crack in my block.
its a hair line crack thats about 2.5 inches long.

maybe welding it is cheaper then getting another block and having it bored again.

pm me with any info please. sooner the better.

clean the crack area real good & try JB weld

its already had jb weld on it. trying to look for something perminent. is there an extreme jb weld? lol or something srtonger? can i put it on the inside even tho oil can get to it?

I dont know...we JB'd a tractor block several years ago...course its got sleeved pictons...but runs fine...maybe some others have more experience filling cracks...???

its near the front at the water pump. just wondering if the heat and oil pressure will make it melt or corrode or w/e.
maybe i can jb weld the inside and out?

What kind of block? Is it a 6 cyl cast block?

I can tig weld it if so, I do lots of cracked blocks, but i'm in wilmington

Check out this thread. It's one of the most amazing parking lot fixes I've ever seen. He threw a rod, holing the block and the oil pan in the process. He fixed it with JB Weld and wheeled it all weekend on five cylinders. Nice work there.
