Body lift reduction?

I may purchase a blazer with a 4'' bl and I was wondering if I could cut or grind down the bl to a 2'' lift? I dont know what the lift is made out of but if I can cut it would it work? Thanks.

I don't see why you couldn't cut the lifting pucks down. You might want to check the shifters incase someone had to add a link. The steering column might have some added to it as well. I had a Toyota with a 3" body lift and the steering and shifting had to have pieces welded in. Not sure if a blazer is the same but would only guess the steering would be altered. If it's auto you might be alright with the shifting but check the shifter for the transfer case.
