I have a friend with a wrangler and he just recently received a free body lift that is made for a 75-82 Ranger. He is wandering if there is a way this might work on his '95 Wrangler, I figured a body lift is a body lift but im not to keen on body lifts, so some one clue me in please. Thanks

THe blocks or spacers themselfs will actually probaly work but there is alot of other little things included in a body lift as well that probably wouldn't swap over. Your'e best bet would be to try and get a hold of the instructions for a body lift on your wrangler and see what all you need then you can tell what will swap or not.

how big are the pucks? If i remember correctly, a YJ body mount puck is MUCH smaller than most others i have seen. If the pucks are as wide as the ones i have dealt with (late model Rangers) than they are far to wide for a YJ.

Dont use the pucks if they are too big. You are just asking for fitment troubles. However, i havent ever seen the pucks for an early ranger so i dont know if they are the same size as a YJ.

Thanks for the replys guys, ive not seen the pucks, all I know is that they are intended for a 3" lift. Ill check on the things yall have recommended checking on though.

correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Rangers of that era a fullsize truck? Before the 83 compact ranger was introduced, ford used the ranger as a trim package.

you are correct. Thats one of the reasons why i think the pucks will be far too large.

Simple solution.
Don't use them.
3" body lifts are WAY to high on jeeps. Just asking for trouble, (and I think they look like crap. and we all know the opinion of some random asshat on the web is important:flipoff2: )

87$ and he can get something that will actually work. The 3" is going to need a LOT of bracket relocators etc otherwise his shifter, tcase shifter etc etc won't work right.
If he's trying to do it cheap, just search the for sale forums on various boards, body lifts go for sale at various times.

Yeah I know alot of people dont care to much for body lifts. Like I said though he got it free and was just hoping he could use it, ill pass on all the info to him and let him decide what he wants to do with the body lift. Thanks again for all the replies and suggestions.
