Look for a good body shop around the Charlotte area to pull a couple of dents out and paint my MJ project.
Any suggestions?

Body Works at Parkwood and N. Davidson.
From what I've heard they do excellent work, and there are always Early Broncos, Willys, FJ-40's and older Land Rovers up there at their lot.
You mean Body Work Plus? They hooked me up too.

This was the place I planned on using. I talked with Brian on Monday of this week about my truck. He seemed very interested in the job and knowledgable about MJ/XJs. However, I can't get back in touch with him. I've left numerous voicemails and emails this week with no response.
If the guy can't take 5 mins to return my call then how can I trust he will do a good job on my truck...just .02
I got a quote today from Maaco that I will probably go with.
Well he could be out of town... or have had a family emergency....
...or my guess would be if you're going to settle on Maaco quality work, you aren't willing to spend enough money to make it worth their while, and there's no reason for him to waste his time on something he will never see money from. Maaco is a FAR cry from the quality of work that he sends out of his shop.
And to entirely honest, numerous voice mails and emails in one week one day of which being a national holiday and you haven't even given him a vehicle or money?
Sounds like you are cheap and a pain in the ass to deal with.

Wow! Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I wasn't trying to start anything. I was simply stating the facts that I had left numerous messages with his secretary who said he "was" indeed there. I had also emailed him per his request. Neither of the 2 had he returned an email or call.
Call me whatever you want I was simply stating as a businessman myself if a client or potential client calls the least I can do is return their call or email.
I'm not into starting a web fight so I'm sorry if I offended you.
You don't need to apologize to me, it's unnecessary. I apologize for being so harsh.
I just sat oddly with me that you'd go from Body Works Plus arguably one of, if not the best body shop in the area, to Maaco... which just puts out shit from what I've seen.
Had you said, Prestige, Import Paint, Wilburn, or even Final Finish I wouldn't have thought twice about it...
In my mind that was on the same level as saying youre going to buy a Ferrari and you come back with a used Hyundai.
Do yourself a favor, you seem to be taking a great deal of time in your build-up, spend the extra coin and get the body work and paint done right the first time, and stay the hell away from Maaco.
WOW.... unless your MJ is priceless that is WAY WAY WAY WAY too much money to be dropping on it?
If this is a full on restoration project, sure that is reasonable and go for the better quality, but if this is a trail rig you are insane to spend that!?
I am NOT saying they are high, I am saying YOU are high (heh..see what I did there?) Just that trail rigs are generally not worth that level of paint job. I was thinking you were looking at the $200-500 range.

I have less than $100 or so in each of my paint jobs, but they are FOR the trail. I am not winning any contests...
