Ok guys who would has a shop or a driveway full of tools who would like to help put a lift on my XJ. Pizza and beer will be provided. I just don't have adequate tools to tackle the job up here at school.

I dont have the tools or the driveway, but Im down for helping put on the lift....

Actually, we did replace an XJ radiator in my apartment parking lot once, but people gave us some pretty sketchy looks.

You don't need a shop man. We've built suspensions, and practically whole rigs in parking lots. I know of a few trannys being yanked with simple hand tools. I also heard of this one guy painting his rig on top of the parking deck

You should let him borrow your wide arrange of tools, I'm sure you have everything needed stored in my dad's shed :flipoff2:

Let me know when you're trying to do this, I may be able to help. Lift details? Bolt on?

ha. That reminds me of the time I took a radiator out of my xj and replaced the one in a friend's one night while he was stuck at the beech mtn parking lot during a "snowstorm" after sliding into someones hitch. Worst night ever and only got a case of beer and numb fingers out of it.

Apt parking lots work well for these kind of things though.

Well I may be heading back towards Raleigh, which then I would do it there no problems, but if I don't head down there my best time is next Tuesday. It's pretty straight forward, add-a-leaf, front coils, and shocks.

It's not the shop I'm looking for. It's the availability of tools i.e. grinder/air tools/options for seized bolts.

I usually just romp on shit with a breaker bar until the bolt breaks or comes out.
