boots resoled

Has anyone had boots redone and been happy with the end result? any recommendations preferably Asheville area but i cant find any, but seem to remember that someone does just cant find them now. One pair of boots ill most likely be sending back to danner for a full rebuild, but the other pair they wont repair due to damage but i wear them for wheeling and working on the jeep but the soles have holes in them and im tired of busting my ass.
 
I have a pair of Vasque boots. I had to go to their website to find out where to send them to get OEM soles put back on them. Think I had to send them to Colorado.
 
Danner is your first problem! The last I had resoled West Asheville Shoe Shop near Asheville Powertrain did it for me. Decent job at a fair price.

Ive had about every brand and style. the danners were the only ones that i could convertibility wear everyday at work and light enough to hike and hunt in. I've got some Keens that i hike in some but like the danners for work.
ill check them out.

I can send one pair back to danner to get repaired. the other pair the leather is to beat up they wont resole them due to the leather condition.

i get 2.5-3 years out of my danners. but thats because they soles are gone, if i could resole i could get another year or two out of the oldest pair of boots and cut down on the newer pair prolonging its life as well.

Yes i have two pairs of the same boots. i keep the older pair for working on the jeep and doing stuff i dont want to mess up my "good" boots
 
Shit I had the danner vicious and they last 8 days before two buckles broke! Danner isnt the military grade boot like back in the day! I’ve had cowboy boots resoled and was pleased but work boots are diff story always cost less to just buy a new pair, Check out Irish setters work boots Ramsey and Stillwater I wear the elk tracker style 12” boot and have for roughly 12 years now goretex and sole lasts as long as vibram. I go through a pair of boots a year tho! My ariat cowboy boots have made it 2 years now and I wear them almost daily!
