Long story short, the master cylinder and distribution block are installed correctly and plumbed correctly. While bleeding rear brakes, small reservoir drains down. Moving to the front….SMALL RESERVOIR DRAINS with no fluid leaving the large reservoir.
Details
First master cylinder was not pumping fluid in the rear reservoir; bought a new one and bench bled; after installing on the car and hooking up brake lines, still couldn’t bleed system
Went back to the original m/c and re-bled first m/c successfully and was working well
System still wont bleed correctly and no pedal resistance developing
No crimped brake lines (all new or custom bent by me)
No leaking brake lines anywhere
New PV2 distribution block for front discs/rear drums (never used!)
Car is a 65 mustang with manual brakes and dual reservoir m/c
Why would the small reservoir come into play while bleeding front disc calipers? Should be large reservoir only for fronts.
I’m planning to replace the distribution block and will use a distribution block bleeding tool this time (only thing left I can do differently). My guess is that the first m/c messed up the distribution block piston OR it was defective from the start.
Am I missing something else?
