Brake booster issues

I put a new brake booster on my 97 Yukon late last night, and after bleeding the brakes, went for a little test drive. The brakes work now, but the pedal is very slow to respond after I release it, and the brakes stay engaged for a second or two after I take my foot off the pedal. Any ideas as to what could cause this? I didn't see a pedal return spring on the brake pedal linkage when I took it apart, and everything looks to be reassembled properly. Could the brakes have been bled improperly? I need my truck to work, thanks guys.

After messing with the truck, it seems like the booster isn't letting the pedal return fast enough. It's like the booster has enough drag on the return stroke that it slows the pedal down as it extends, and therefore keeps the brakes engaged. I tried pulling the pedal back out while it's still stuck, and there's a lot resistance, so there's obviously not a lack of a return spring of some sort.

On a side note, the master cylinder has a little bit of a leak around the reservoir. It's not dripping or spewing, but it is a little wet where the cylinder and reservoir meet. Also, the booster looks like it's leaking a little bit around the check valve as well. Could either of these be causing this problem? Or might the booster itself be faulty?

If the master is leaking, replace it.

I think I was wrong about the MC leaking, beause it's not leaking anywhere anymore. Brake fluid must've gotten in between those rubber gaskets/washers/whatev between the MC and reservoir. Anyway, I put another booster on it last night, and that seems to have taken care of the issue.
