Well before sswapping in my Dana 44 rear, I am going to run new hardlines from the drums to the soft line. Factory runs the lines out of the wheel cylinder, around the back of the axle, under/around the spring perches, and to the line. The soft (rubber) line is offset to the drivers side and has a T fitting and all. My question is, Should I stick with something like the factory setup or just go over the top of the axle the whole way and over the leaf perches/ spring plates. I dont think I have to worry about flexing to the point of the lines hitting the "Frame"/Unibody.

PS. This is Dana 44 w/ drum brakes going into a Jeep Cherokee. Which is SOA from the factory.

Any input on what you did in similar situations or pictures, etc would be great. -Tim

I'm thinking about that too for the waggy axles i'd like to eventually get in my xj. I really hope I can use the stock brakeline setup with the new axle, they're both the same width and the lines are the same size.

If not, I'm going to bend up some new brake lines to follow the stock routing.

That's probably no help to you though, huh?

We centered the line... here's a pic form Mike's truck..
