So i'm fixing my 84 toyota truck back up to be a daily driver, cleaning things up and deciding what needs attention.

when i turn the truck on and let it run, brake fluid leaks out right on the frame rail by the gas tank. Is this just a crack in the line or is there something there that would leak? I can't see up there very well. Thanks for the help.

you probably need to take you tank down and inspect your lines. I know that stinks but you'll need it down if you have to run a new hard line anyway. Alot of mud, dirt and other stuff like to get lodged between the tank and frame. When it does it settles down around your lines.

Yea, your brake lines run behind the fuel tank along the frame rail. There are little brackets that hold the lines to the frame rail. There isn't a block or anything there that could be leaking. You're going to need some new line.

thanks for the reply, i guess thats a good thing that it is something simple, but sucks i have to drop the tank. I'm sure i will have more questions on my next day off and i start to tear into it
