Had a driveshft shorten yesterday at Brake Inc. in Raleigh on rt.64. They did a very nice job, removed the factory weights and rebalanced with min. weight and was only $65.

"I had already taken it to Brakes. Just picked it up, $69 ($55 for the balance, $10 environmental fee, $4 tax on a service). They failed to mention the additional fees when I dropped it off. Maybe I'm wrong but I think that was a little steep and slightly dishonest."

We are 55 out the door. FYI, you not supposed to tax labor...

I know, that's what pissed me off the most. I have my own small business with mostly labor charges and I don't get to charge tax. The environmental fees were bogus too.
