bucket seats into '01 Taco

Have some friends w/ a 2wd 01 Taco std cab w/ bench. Would like to swap in buckets. I know in the older trucks thsi is a direct swap, just wanted to confirm (whether) this is the case for this truck as well.
Also, not being a Taco guy - what years would be the same?
 
95.5-2004 will fit in his truck fine, they all share the same mounting points. When he does get some buckets(there are plenty on car-part.com) I will be glad to buy the bench seat from him,(assuming it fits with my interior cage). I have buckets now, and like them, but sometimes i need to have room for more than just 1 other person. I would trade him but Im keeping mine for the trails and for when I eventually get a DD.

On a related note - is there a huge different in the bolting pattern for the earlier seats? I have a set from an '88 4Runner (same as truck), what're the chances they bolt in as well?

How good are you with a welder? :lol:

They won't bolt right in.. Taco cabs are different.
