Idk to much about these budget boost lifts except that there spacers but i was wondering if i had like a 2" budget boost could i also have a suspension lift on a zj?...i wanted to put 3.5" suspension lift and a 2" budget boost...?

it physically works...ran that on my TJ for awhile...

however, it's like running 5.5" suspension lift, so anything (like for me, it was control arms, etc) else you need to address needs to still be considered...

can't remember if I was helping on somebody's ZJ or WJ, but there just wasn't much room for the spacers to sit...

Greg

yeah i defenitely want to do it the right way if i do it that way and thats around the amount of lift i want but dont have the money for a long arm or anything around that price...lmk if you remember which it was...thanks...

Here is my XJ as of last week 4.5" lift springs and 1.75" ciol spacers

Notice how far back the springs are sweeping, my choices now are RE control arm drop brackets or a long arm to correct the geometry. Something I didn't plan for before I installed the lift with my BB.

so what are you lookin at as far as moneywise now?
@ 350 for the RE control arm drop brackets or 899 plus shipping for the long arm upgrade that I like over most.
For now the RE control arm drop brackets are going to be ordered, as soon as I get my SYE and driveshaft installed to see just how bad it handles on the road.

I like the long arm to and thats what i would rather do but im not the patient type especially with money...i would like to buy most of the stuff used if i could because thats cheaper and im not looking to have the perfect trail rig just something to have for maybe a year and i wanna have it done within a couple months...plus the grand its going on is beautiful and if it wasnt for the mileage i wouldnt even do this..i dont want to do anything to radical plus i want to eventually put some of the stock equipment back on it when i want to get rid of it...but i do want something functional like i said 5.5-6.5" of lift and 33X12.50...it will be daily driven as well...

This is a link to a mostly Grand Cherokee site, but a new thing with them is less then 100 posts your trapped in newbie tech.

But they do have a for sale section
Also don't knock that Grand as a not too capable trail rig it is still a Jeep with solid axles a few of my friends wheel the snot out of theirs. My friend Sean had 33x12.5x15's with 4.5" of lift and it drove very nicely for a short arm lift.

My friend Sean Grand its a 94 Limited at the time this pic was taken it had 4.5" and short arms on it

My friend Hanks he's running 35's and is trimmed I don't think we measured actual lift hight home made long arms and work really good

FYI...if you have a full time t-case...you cant cant go as high without running into drivetrain problems

thanks for the length though that site is awesome...thanks for the help...would your buddy be willing to make me some long arms for the right $?...all this info and what not has convinced me that maybe i should just go all out with it instead of buying another vehicle as a project...im just gonna build this thing as much as i can and still have a reliable dd..

I can ask him, it actually cost him more then he planned.

I guess since he is not supporting the site anymore the pics may not work.

That was my girlfriends ZJ we were putting that BB on when we had to cut the pucks to fit up in there. I dont exactly remember what they were hitting...but it was something that required us to cut a straight edge into the round spacer to make it sit in there. Oh well. It works.

thanks...I knew it was a friend of somebody on here, and Matt was the one that called me...but couldn't exactly remember what it was...

we did have to cut a chunk out of them to fit...

no problems with it so far?

Greg

I've had to grind them out to install on TJ's but if the spacers were made for a ZJ they already have the flat side.

If you have a Dana 35 then get a Ford 8.8 or a real 44 from a TJ(should bolt right in). The Dana 44 aluminum that came in 96 and later V-8 ZJ's is a POS too.

the np249 can run at 6" of lift without a vibe from the DS front or rear...even though you dont have one if you have a inline 6 unless you got major unlucky.

and i'm running a RE 3.5" on 32's on my 97 zj...i suggest a used 4.5 with all adjustable lower control arms, f&r adj tracbars, and front sway disco's and rear entended links to run 33's. just trim the bumper slightly and it'll be fine. I'm supposed to run 31's on a 3.5 but i went with 32s and it rubs, but not enough to need to cut the fenders, just the bumper(which is getting replaced with a hanson front winch bumper for mine).
