Like I have said before, I hate her car. We got the trans fixed about 2 weeks ago and now the plastic reservoir for the radiatior is leaking pressure, causing the car to overheat. The reservoir has the radiator cap on it. Anyone know where to get one, or is it a dealer item?

Install a weaker pound cap on it and drop a EGG into the radiator and call me in the morning!

the reservoir cap should be at most parts stores...

Did they have to drain the coolant or remove the radiator etc? If so make sure that the system was filled backup and bled properly. Ex. My Taurus has a recall 'bypass hose' to help it bleed out the air, without this they never get full of coolant and then overheat and pop the head gaskets. Some cars have small bleed ports to get the air out also..
 
This car wouldnt happen to have a 2.7 liter by any chance. IF so they are all junk anyways, I'd burn it. This particular motor has a bleeder valve and are bad about breaking there, seems there was a recall on it, just not sure about that model.
 
3.5 engine. Thanks for the look up chip. I really want to get a new one, don't know if a used one will have the same problem. I can see water come out around the base of the lid where it is bonded to the plastic resiviour. As far as the air/water, I just leave the cap off and run the car, it seems to work.
